Living to Love: Why Chastity is Key

On 28 May the Catholic Voices Academy heard from former rock journalist and theologian Dawn Eden in a speech to launch her re-issued, Catholic edition of The Thrill of the Chaste (Catholic Edition): Finding Fulfillment While Keeping Your Clothes On (Ave Maria Press).

You can hear her talk here.

Born into a Jewish family in New York City, Eden lost her faith as a teenager and became an agnostic. During the 1990s, she worked as a rock journalist in New York City, going on to work in editorial positions for the New York Post and the Daily News. At the age of thirty-one, Eden underwent a dramatic conversion to Christianity that ultimately led her to enter the Catholic Church. She received her Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC, in 2014 and is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of St. Mary of the Lake. Eden has spoken about chastity and spiritual healing to thousands of people throughout North America and Europe.
